• Maternity Shoot

    January 11, 2016

    Dress by Lulus

My husband scheduled a surprise maternity shoot for me last week, but we ended up not being able to make it in time due to an insane traffic incident.. So we pulled over on the side of the road and ended up taking photos ourselves with our tripod for the first time! Not bad, eh?

Well, here we are… Awaiting the arrival of our little blessing. We couldn’t be happier and just cannot wait to meet our daughter 🙂

*Note: This post was meant to go live about a week ago, but I ended up going into labor before I could post this! Our daughter arrived on January 5, 2016. This explains my MIA status. Post on motherhood soon to come 🙂

Merry Christmas & happy holidays from the Sontakeys!

  • Pink & Gray

    December 14, 2015

Dress by Donna Morgan | Scarf by Burberry | Heels by Saint Laurent (on sale!) | Bag by Chanel (on sale here)

One of my favorite things about December is all the festive holiday decor around! It makes going out so much more fun. Gray & pink are one of those color combinations that you just can’t go wrong with in my books. As for any updates with me? I’m getting more massive each day & my husband laughs as I attempt to get out of bed to pee for the 89th time. Thank god for midis with stretch material!

  • Medallion Scroll

    December 7, 2015

Dress by Ella Moss (different pattern available here)

My love affair with jersey dresses continues onward with the help of Ella Moss. As I’m about to approach my 9th month of pregnancy, aka getting huge, this mama needs comfort more than anything. This is easily one of the softest and coziest dresses I own, and it helps that I always feel dressed up in it too!

  • Pink Blush + Giveaway

    November 18, 2015

Olive Green Dress by Pink Blush | Aqua Floral Dress by Pink Blush

Today’s post is an exciting one for me because it is the first collaboration I have accepted! I am very selective about who I work with and I only want to showcase brands and items that best represent me & my personal style. So I was thrilled when Pink Blush Maternity approached me because I immediately fell in love with their wrap dresses! They are so unique with their gorgeous prints & various shades and completely wearable on every occasion. I was sent dresses of my choosing, and let me tell you they are insanely comfortable and I feel like wearing them all day everyday. I’ve worn these several times already just to get the proper feel before I make a post and I just love them even more and more each time, not to mention the constant compliments I’ve been getting on both the olive green & aqua floral print! Although Pink Blush is known for their maternity collection, they also have an amazing non-maternity brand here.

Now here is the fun part, I am also excited to be hosting a giveaway of a $25 gift card applicable to both their maternity & non-maternity collection for my fabulous followers!

    How To Enter:
    1) Must follow me on Instagram @ShvetaSontakey & on my brand new FB page: facebook.com/ShvetaSontakey
    2) Tag one friend who you think would love their dresses either on Instagram or Facebook in the comment section and you’re set!
I will announce & tag the winner on November 25th & Pink Blush will be sure to send your gift card 🙂

  • Black & Gold

    November 9, 2015

Dress by Tadashi Shoji (sold out, similar here)

Happy Monday, loves! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I recently had the pleasure of attending an elegant dinner and a charity function here in Beverly Hills, and I chose to wear this black dress with gold embroidery. A touch of gold accents is a must in my wardrobe, and I feel it’s especially perfect for the holiday season! What’s a must in your wardrobe?

  • Garden Organza

    November 4, 2015

Dress by Chicwish (now on sale!) | Heels by Saint Laurent | Clutch by Yves Saint Laurent

How sweet is this organza silk-blend dress? I bought it pre-pregnancy and discovered it had to be altered as it was way too big on my petite frame. I was too lazy to go get it fitted, but it all worked out because a month later I found out I was pregnant! I figured I’d wait until I grew into the dress before I frolic about in it. I cannot get over how beautiful the embroidery is with its vibrant yet soft colors. It makes me feel so girly and cutesy; this dress would be perfect for a garden or tea party. I wish I could create a matching one for my daughter!

  • Navy Polka Dots

    November 30, 2015

Dress by Eliza J | Heels by Vince Camuto (similar on sale here) | Bag by Louis Vuitton | Watch by Rolex (similar & affordable version here)

Jersey wrap dresses are officially one of my best friends at this stage in my pregnancy. They accommodate my growing bump day by day. The lively polka dot pattern on here was perfect for the fun outing I had with my husband yesterday– shopping & exploring popular eateries in West Hollywood.

  • Fairytales & Lace

    October 27, 2015

Dress by Free People (old, similar option here)

Lace dresses have a way of making me feel so feminine and as if I am in a fairy tale. I love immersing myself in novels that portray fantasy and romance, and this place just minutes away from our home looks right out of a classic story book. The timing was perfect as my husband and I were strolling hand in hand and I was wearing one of my favorite lace maxis from Free People (that still comfortably fit at this point in my pregnancy) so we decided to capture a few photographs here. I cannot wait to read fairytales to my baby girl once she’s born!

  • Big Announcement

    October 20, 2015

Dress by Asos | Sandals by Tory Burch

I am excited to announce that my husband and I will soon become a family of three! We are so blessed with this wonderful surprise and cannot wait to experience the joy our daughter will bring once she arrives. After battling the first trimester morning sickness (more like all day sickness), I have been occupying myself by preparing for our baby girl. It still doesn’t feel real at times, until she kicks me to remind me she is here. I was patiently waiting for a bump to appear, and then after 6 months I suddenly started growing day by day! Now that I am 7 months along, I am looking forward to styling the bump.

Here is our official announcement video with the concept my husband wanted to make for our family and friends. A huge thanks to my amazing sister in law, Rati Sontakey, who lovingly created this for us.
